THE BEST TEACHER IS TO LEARN (IN THE REAL) .... YOU MUST LIVE IT!
Come experience a 6 hour workshop that covers the basics of winter camping & some training on winter living and "survival".
Get teachings and skills training by experienced and skilled staff who have alot of experience and hard fought knowledges to pass on to you!
Instructor(s) draw from a life time experience of winter camping & living in winter wilderness conditions. Experienced professionally also from Canadian Forces (ex infantryman soldier), search & rescue and more credentials.
Even runs 9am-3pm at our private 80 acre wilderness location in Blezzard Valley. Located just off Lumsden Rd. 10 mins from Val Caron.
MAIN TEACHINGS will include:
1. INTRODUCTION TO (EQUIPMENT & PERSONAL PACK GEAR SHOW) show & tell presentation Including clothing how to dress, tools, and discussing gear and what one should have
2. SHELTERS
3. FIRE
4. WATER
5. CAMPSITE LAYOUT & CAMPSITE Night Routines and skills
6. Campsite equipment
7. How to live and operate in a 4 seasons tent with a woodstove inside
8. Resources and collection
9. Tool use and safety
10. Planning & preparedness presentation
11. Cold injuries & how to handle emergencies (hypothermia, falling thru ice or water, frostbite
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT & ASSUMPTION OF RISK WAIVER. THIS LEGAL PAPERWORK IS REQUIRED BY OUR COMPANY TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR EVENTS.
