GUIDED SMALL GAME WALK WITH HUNTER EXPERIENCE
KEEPERS Level #1 Introduction to small game grouse hunting & skills related to hunting
LENGTH : 8 HOURS
TIMINGS: 9 am - 5 pm (Saturday)
TRANSPORTATION: PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION
Participants meet at the Tim Hortons in in Hanmer (5085 Old Hwy 69, Hanmer ON) at 0845am. Vehicle with banner will be parked just next door infront of the cannbis shop which is beside the Tim Hortons.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT & ASSUMPTION OF RISK WAIVER
THIS LEGAL PAPERWORK IS REQUIRED BY OUR COMPANY TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR EVENTS.
- walk with one of our experienced hunters / (guides) for a day and experience small game & grouse hunting. This event is put on for people that are interested in learning how to hunt small game and or experience what it is like to hunt small game. (Many people have never had the opportunity to participate in something like this or never had someone to teach them or take them hunting).
- event walks participants in real time on a day of live hunting. Throughout the day the guide will speak on hunting techniques, firearm safety, firearms VS bow, things to know, rules and regulations, equipment, random wilderness knowledge’s, and other tips and guidances that new hunters should know. Come out and experience hunting small game for a full day walk!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: THE GUIDE(S) LEADING THE HUNT ACTIVITIES REQUIRES PARTICIPANTS TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IN THE FIELD WHILE THE HUNT IS TAKING PLACE. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EVERYONE FOLLOWS THE GUIDE(S) & DIRECTIONS FOR SAFETY REASONS; ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING FIREARM(S) WILL BE PRESENT…

ALSO WE EXPECT RESPECT & COURTESY FROM ALL PARTICIPANTS AND TOWARDS BOTH PARTICIPANTS & STAFF. THIS INCLUDES PARTICIPATING IN THE HUNT AND MAKING AN EFFORT TO BE QUIET & TO BE PRESENT IN THE ACTIVITY / HUNT. PLEASE REALIZE THAT YOUR ACTIONS COULD BE SPOILING THE HUNT EXPERIENCE FOR OTHERS. THIS IS COMMON SENSE HOWEVER WE HAVE FOUND IN RARE CASES THAT COMMON SENSE IS NOT SO COMMON;
NOTICE: You should be physically capable of hiking for the day and able to walk off the trail for some parts of the adventure. We expect to stop for breaks and do stop somewhat frequently. We usually find a comfortable pace for the group at hand. THIS IS MEANT TO BE A FUN & CASUAL EVENT WITH CHANCES TO ENCOUNTER VARIOUS WILD ANIMALS; AS WELL AS EXPERIENCE THE THRILL, EXCITEMENT & ADVENTURE THIS TYPE OF HUNTING BRINGS.

PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE NORTH OF HANMER INTERMITTENT CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES about 10 mins ride down Nelson Lake Rd. and area.
Upon arrival participants check inn with our guide(s) and hand inn their signed (Release of Liability Agreements & Assumption of Risk Waiver) and pay any outstanding balances.
Soon as we have everybody or latest departure 900 am we depart and head to the location in caravan (following the guide vehicle).
AGAIN! PLEASE BE ADVISED THERE IS NO CELLULAR PHONE SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION
Vehicles will be left parked and all participants will gather in one small group upon arrival and the event will begin. At the end of the day participants will be free to make their way back to town the same way we used to go but on their own time as sometimes the guide(s) don’t return back to town right away.

PLEASE be ready for any weather condition as we adventure regardless of rain or shine conditions. IF the event must be cancelled due to exigent circumstances, extreme weather activity, or some other uncontrollable event.
Our company policy on this is and must be as follows:
Due to the nature of our business we must have a policy in place to protect our company interest in this regard. Due to various situations that could arise due to people wanting to cancel due to bad weather, cancellation for any reason (cancelling a spot could have been a spot for someone else), cancellation due to extreme weather, exigent circumstances (ex: road closure or forest fire), or other uncontrollable event(s). OUR COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT & MUST RETAIN THE BOOKING FEES THAT WERE COLLECTED PRIOR TO THE EVENT. UNFORTUNATELY, WE MUST OPERATE LIKE THIS EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE NOT HAD MANY ISSUES IN THIS AREA BUT WE INFORM CUSTOMERS OF THE TERMS OF BOOKING WITH US.
PARTICIPANTS / CUSTOMERS that do encounter a situation in which our company cancels an event; a replacement event or events will be offered as a substitute OR if another similar event can be booked they will have the option to participate in the next event. Sometimes depending on the size of the group that was cancelled and details we may choose to create another event for the group if possible. IN SOME CIRCUMSTANCES WE MAY CHOOSE TO ISSUE A REFUND BUT AGAIN SOLELY AT THE DISCRETION OF THE OWNERS OR STAFF AT KEEPERS OF THE WILD.

CANCELLATIONS BY CUSTOMERS AND OR LATE ARRIVALS WHO MISS EVENTS ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO LOSING THEIR PAYMENT FOR THE EVENT; HOWEVER DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES MANY TIMES OUR COMPANY WILL OFFER TO ALLOW CUSTOMERS TO GET ONTO ANOTHER EVENT FREE OF CHARGE AS A FREEBEE OR EXCHANGE or COMPENSATION OF SORTS to ASSIST IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION BUT WE ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DO. THESE DECISION ARE DISCRETIONARY.
Dress appropriately with proper pants, proper hiking boots (NO flip flops or little shoes), jacket, gloves. Bring a minimal day pack for yourself to carry items you wish to carry on the adventure. We recommend camera, rain gear, change of socks, small bush knife, water, water container, sunscreen, snacks, lunch and anything else you may require.
