Come join us at our Outback Adventure & Wellness Retreat for an unique experience like no other!

Ever wanted to experience winter camping in an artic tent with a woodstove for heat? Surrounded by raw nature in the northern Ontario wilderness… Sounds of blue jays, whiskey jacks, skullcap chickadees occasionally breaking the stillness of peace in the forest around you. No cell phone service, no internet, no social media, no city stuff just our retreat camp and adventure for the taking in every direction. WELCOME TO OUR NECK OF THE WOODS (KEEPERS OF THE WILD) Wilderness adventure outfitters & wellness retreat operators.

You will enjoy your own private 10 MAN Canadian Forces Arctic tent with woodstove along with a wood supply. The ECO FRIENDLY camp setup consists usually of 5-8 tents and a shared community kitchen in a woodstove heated 16x20 foot prospector tent with tables and seating. This outback retreat and all its related activities are all hosted on crown public lands.
This venue is a bring your own vehicle (suv or truck preferred / car still an option though) & bring your own food, sleeping bag, head light or flashlights, winter clothing and personal effects. We would recommend a camera to capture the experience.

We provide the lodging and setup with onsite generator power (community tent & kitchen) for lighting and basic power needs in the evenings. All tents onsite are heated solely on woodstove fire heat! This means during the nights you will experience living / sleeping with the crackling of a fire while enjoying dry radiant heat like no other. Tents are easily kept at 80-100+ while burning. You will however be responsible for sustaining your fire within your respective tents throughout the night. Keep in mind if your fire goes out you will awaken to no heat! We will teach you how this all works and you will have (backup wood & materials) at the ready in the event your fire runs out so you will be able to get it going quickly once again. It’s been a mild winter and this isn’t usually an issue however if we get colder temperatures -20 and beyond you will want to keep your woodstove going well through the night. Sometimes this means setting alarms every few hours to load up the stove and stoke the fire. Sharing a “fire Pickett” with your partner or colleagues may be another option but it will be your choice at the end of the day. This experience is very rewarding and provides a mental health wellness that most have never experienced…but truly therapeutic.

Common facilities including field washrooms are shared. The entire site is decorated / illuminated with Christmas lights for mood & atmosphere in the evening hours.

This venue will give you access to the following:
